Erin Bouriakov

Erin Bouriakov è solista, musicista da camera, docente e insegnante, riconosciuta a livello mondiale. È stata membro della UCLA dal 2017 al 2024. È apparsa come solista con prestigiosi ensemble come la Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, la Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, la Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra, la Seoul Baroque Chamber Orchestra, Musica Viva, e altri. Spesso si esibisce e incide con suo marito, Denis Bouriakov, per concerti in tutto il mondo.
Nata a Seoul, Korea, Erin si trasferisce negli Stati Uniti per studiare alla Interlochen Arts Academy. Continua I suoi studi all’Oberlin Conservatory con Michel Debost e successivamente alla Royal Academy of Music di Londra con William Bennett. Dopo essersi diplomata alla Royal Academy, affina lo studio a Milano, studiando con Bruno Cavallo, la cui guida sarà per lei molto influente. Nel 2006 viene nominate Primo Flauto alla Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. Erin gode anche di una carriera di successo anche come musicista orchestrale, esibendosi con rinomate orchestre come la Metropolitan Opera in New York e la Los Angeles Philharmonic. Mentre era a New York, ha lavorato come assistente insegnante alla Juilliard Pre-College.

Erin Bouriakov is an internationally renowned soloist, chamber musician, lecturer, and teacher. She was a faculty member at UCLA from 2017 to 2024. Erin has appeared as a soloist with prestigious ensembles such as the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Baroque Chamber Orchestra, Musica Viva, and many others. Frequently, she performs and records alongside her husband, Denis Bouriakov, in concerts around the globe.
Born in Seoul, Korea, Erin moved to the United States to study at the Interlochen Arts Academy. She continued her studies at the Oberlin Conservatory under Michel Debost and later at the Royal Academy of Music in London with William Bennett. After graduating from the Royal Academy, she further honed her craft in Milan, studying with Bruno Cavallo, whose guidance was deeply influential. In 2006, she was appointed Principal Flute of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. Erin has also enjoyed a successful career as an orchestral musician, performing with notable orchestras such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. While living in New York, she served as an assistant teacher at Juilliard Pre-College.
Since 2016, Erin has been a Haynes Flutes Artist, playing a 14K all-gold model.
